Paul Warr-King is the current President of the Gresham City Council.
We sincerely would like your vote to re-elect him to Position 5 of the City Council.

Graffiti Removal Programs

Because of the chronic growth of graffiti throughout our city, the Council recently took steps to establish a volunteer graffiti removal program with a staff member assigned as the coordinator.

The program calls for victims of graffiti, or anyone noticing graffiti, to call a well-publicized hotline 503-618-3089 or the Gresham Police Non-Emergency line 503-823-3333.

Staff will notify property owners of the City's graffiti ordinance, which requires removal within ten days, and tell them about using the services of the City's volunteer program if they wish. Free graffiti removal kits are available at City Hall.

The city also has a graffiti removal trailer, which contains all of materials for removal of most articles the vandals use to leave their ugly marks. This trailer is ideal for groups that would like to take on larger weekend projects. We have also been working on the control of grocery carts left on the streets and which many people refer to as "three-D-graffiti". Partial control is now exercised by the Oregon Grocers Association for the pickup of their members carts but this service has to be expanded to take in a broader base of retailers.
